Brahmin kite flying experience
“ばらもん”とは、五島の方言“ばらか”に由来し、元気者や荒々しいという意味。武士が鬼に立ち向かう勇敢な姿が描かれた凧は、男の子の初節句に健やかな成長と出世を願って揚げられてきました。朝ドラ“舞い上がれ”にも登場した、鬼岳でのばらもん凧上げ体験です。

Saga Island Trekking Tour

Climb Mt. Nanatsu, selected as one of the 100 Famous Mountains of Kyushu, or Mt. Tetatake, the highest peak in the Goto Islands at an elevation of 461 meters. From the summits, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the islands and coastline; the view of Takahama and Tontomari beaches from Mt. Nanatsu is particularly stunning. We invite you to take a small adventure into the great outdoors.

Local guide arrangements
We guide you from classic spots to hidden gems known only to local guides. Within the leisurely flow of island time, we invite you on a journey to touch upon history and culture and gain a deeper understanding of Goto.

Camellia oil pressing experience
Experience the process of extracting precious camellia oil, of which only a small amount can be pressed from a single seed. In Goto, it is said that camellia oil was historically paid as a land tax in place of rice in areas with poor harvests, making it deeply connected to local life. Spend a moment feeling the blessings of nature and human wisdom while surrounded by the fragrant, gentle scent of camellia oil. You can take the pressed oil home in a bottle.

Coral Processing Experience
Engage in a mystical experience processing coral that has grown in the sea over many years. In Tomie, where coral fishing once flourished, a unique traditional technique called “Goto-bori,” characterized by delicate and deep carving, has been passed down. It is believed to have the power to protect the body from various disasters and illnesses, making it popular as an amulet. You can take your finished work home as a strap or pendant.

Resin Art Handcraft Experience
Paint your own ocean using sand and shells from Goto. Create your work while feeling the blue sea at an atelier located right next to Koujushi Beach. Why not create a wonderful experience and a souvenir to remember your travels?

Miiraku 538 is the only stained glass workshop on the island. You can enjoy creating pieces under the guidance of Yumiko Hamasaki, who crafted the stained glass for Miiraku Church. This is a time to touch the culture of Goto, known as the “Island of Prayer,” and the delicate handiwork passed down through generations. Use your favorite glass to create a keychain or photo frame to take home.

Letters to the Future
Write a letter to your future self or a loved one. Why not record your thoughts using special stationery, such as letter sets printed with letterpress or glass pens?
